As if the Nationals didn’t have enough problems.
It was the uniform company’s fault that Washington Nationals Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman wore jerseys reading ‘Natinals’ during a game last week, according to Majestic Athletic, the company that designed the misprinted shirts.
Dunn and Zimmerman donned the shirts that were missing an ‘O’ for the first three innings of Washington’s 3-2 loss to the Florida Marlins on Friday night. They eventually changed into jerseys with the team nickname spelled correctly.
“All of us at Majestic Athletic want to apologize to both the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for accidentally omitting the ‘O’ in two Nationals jerseys,” Majestic Athletic president Jim Pisani said in a statement distributed at Nationals Park on Tuesday.
This is coming right before the Nationals decided to total revamp their bullpen.
After starting the season 0-6, Washington’s first homestand of the year wasn’t much more pleasant. The Nationals sent centerfielder Lastings Milledge to the minors April 14 and got rid of three relievers April 19 after three blown leads turned what could have been a weekend sweep of the Marlins into three losses.
Nationals 4, Braves 3
However, with a revamped and more confident bullpen, Washington is back on track. For the second straight night, the Nationals preserved a one-run lead in the ninth, with closer Joel Hanrahan hanging on to record the save. Rookie right-hander Shairon Martis set the tone with six strong innings to earn his second win in three starts.
Back to back wins over the Braves give the Nationals a 3-10 record. Still nothing to be proud of but more of a glimpse of hope for the pesky Nats.

Senior pitcher Jett Jones gave up two runs on five hits in five innings of work, while walking one batter and striking out three.
Over the weekend, I went to my first ASU baseball game of the season. I was there about thirty minutes and took some pictures of ASU senior pitcher Jett Jones.
I thought the pictures turned out pretty well, so I thought I would put one of them on here. Let me know what you think of it by leaving your comment below.
ASU defeated the Ragin Cajuns two games to one over the weekend by winning 3-2 on Sunday, 2-0 on Friday and losing 3-2 on Saturday.
The two wins give them two wins in the Sun Belt Conference which is always good. I thought it was a pretty good outing by the Red Wolves for an opening conference weekend.
The Red Wolves will be back in action on Tuesday beginning at 3 p.m

Shaq and Kobe were Co-MVPs for the 2009 NBA All-Star Game.
Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 27 points, Shaquille O’Neal partied his way back onto the All-Star stage with 17 in just 11 minutes, and the Western Conference beat the East 146-119 Sunday night.
What got into the big man? Maybe he took a shot of 5 hour energy. No crash later. No bat guano. But he looked like a man on a mission from the highlights I saw.
The pass in-between the legs of Dwight Howard and then to get right back for the give and go dunk was pretty impressive. He looked like the Shaq we used to love to watch. Not the Miami police cop he has become.
“It felt like old times,” O’Neal told ESPN. “I miss those times. He was really looking for me, especially when we went to a pick-and-roll and they had Rashard Lewis on me.”
After O’Neal moved to Miami, Kobe and Shaq had some sort of falling out. With pointing of fingers, temper tantrums and other childish acts it was almost surprising to see the two share a MVP trophy.
“We are not going to go back to the room and watch ‘Steel Magnolias’ or something like that, you know what I’m saying, crying, all that stuff,” Bryant said told ESPN. “We had a good time. That’s all.”
This is the third time that Kobe has earned MVP for the NBA All-Star game. This is the first time since 2000 that two players have earned MVP for the All-Star game. That year Shaq and Tim Duncan shared the honor.
