200px-Stormy_Daniels,_2007_2I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried.

Stormy Daniels, a Lousisiana-born porn star, says she is considering a 2010 run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican David Vitter, whose family-values reputation was marred in 2007 when his name was linked to a Washington prostitution ring.

Daniels’ platform contains a few issues she probably has professional knowledge of – backing efforts to remove child pornography from the internet and keeping minors from viewing adult material – as well as the bread-and-butter issues of many other candidates:

Support for a national sales tax to replace the income tax and pushing to get troops home sooner from Iraq.

If she does decide to run, at least it would be incredibly difficult to shed a negative light on her. At least in a way that no one doesn’t already know. For example:

  1. No one could release racy pictures of her. (Because they are all over the Internet.)
  2. No one could release a sex video. (Because there are already hundreds.)
  3. No one could accuse her of  committing adultery. (Because that’s what does for a living.)

Her chances of winning are probably really slim. But her opposition is not much better.

Vitter has steadfastly refused to discuss the “serious sin” he confessed to after his phone number was linked to Deborah Palfrey, the so-called “D.C. Madam” who committed suicide as she faced prison time for running a prostitution ring that catered to the powerful. His office declined to comment Wednesday on Daniels’ possible candidacy.

If nothing else, a Daniels candidacy could bring colour to the Senate campaign the way adult film star Mary Carey did as a candidate for governor in California’s 2003 recall race, which Arnold Schwarzenegger won. And Daniels could restore the spectacle missing from Louisiana politics since the unabashed gambler, reputed womanizer and now-felon Edwin Edwards left the governor’s office in 1996.

terrence-howard-300a0118071Terrence Howard is not pleased he was replaced in the “Iron Man” sequel over a reported salary dispute.

“Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice,” the actor told Parade.com. “They didn’t keep their word. They didn’t honor my contract.”

Howard says producers didn’t share the profits of the flick – which earned over $318 million – with most of the actors.

According to Howard, the only person to get a raise was Robert Downey Jr.

“One of the things that actors need to do is always stick together, one for all, and all for one,” Howard said.

Howard is not revealing anything about the movie, even though he has seen the script of the anticipated sequel which will star Gwyneth Paltrow, Downey, and Don Cheadle – who is replacing Howard.

“I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the movie. I want to see Don Cheadle become me. No, I want him to do better than me,” Howard says. “That’s what I really want to see. Cheadle was the reason I got ‘Crash,’ so I have a lot of love form him.”

Maybe Scrubs will actually have an audience now.

While on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Scrubs star Zach Braff plugged the porno that is poking fun of the comedy that airs on ABC.

The porno parody is being released by NewSensations after its success with other parody pornos such as The Office XXX and Seinfield XXX.

I have to give them props for their likeness of the show. Just judging from the trailer, the parody does well in capturing the actual Scrubs characters. The only one I was disappointed with is the Janitor. His parody opposite looks nothing like him. Braff said, it’s like they just asked anybody to do it.

Playing Braff is being played by AVN male performer of the year James Dean who also played Jim in the Office parody. ( For those of you who don’t know AVN is like the Oscar for porn. It’s a pretty big deal.)

Ralph Long is playing the Janitor.

Ralph Long is playing the Janitor.

The movie is scheduled to hit shelves in late May.

I think it is funny that Braff had no problem plugging the movie and thought it was cool that they were making a parody of the show.

Check out the article on CRAVE which has videos of interviews with the cast.

I honestly think that Sarah Chalke is hotter than her counterpart but it is a pretty good likeness.

ept_sports_mlb_experts-54271263-1240160708As if the Nationals didn’t have enough problems.

It was the uniform company’s fault that Washington Nationals Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman wore jerseys reading ‘Natinals’ during a game last week, according to Majestic Athletic, the company that designed the misprinted shirts.

Dunn and Zimmerman donned the shirts that were missing an ‘O’ for the first three innings of Washington’s 3-2 loss to the Florida Marlins on Friday night. They eventually changed into jerseys with the team nickname spelled correctly.

“All of us at Majestic Athletic want to apologize to both the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for accidentally omitting the ‘O’ in two Nationals jerseys,” Majestic Athletic president Jim Pisani said in a statement distributed at Nationals Park on Tuesday.

This is coming right before the Nationals decided to total revamp their bullpen.

After starting the season 0-6, Washington’s first homestand of the year wasn’t much more pleasant. The Nationals sent centerfielder Lastings Milledge to the minors April 14 and got rid of three relievers April 19 after three blown leads turned what could have been a weekend sweep of the Marlins into three losses.

Nationals 4, Braves 3

However, with a revamped and more confident bullpen, Washington is back on track. For the second straight night, the Nationals preserved a one-run lead in the ninth, with closer Joel Hanrahan hanging on to record the save. Rookie right-hander Shairon Martis set the tone with six strong innings to earn his second win in three starts.

Back to back wins over the Braves give the Nationals a 3-10 record. Still nothing to be proud of but more of a glimpse of hope for the pesky Nats.

text_messageTwo central Pennsylvania friends spent most of March in a text-messaging record attempt, exchanging a total of 217,000 messages to each other.

However, one of the two was surprised when he had a $26,000 bill.

Nick Andes, 29, and Doug Klinger, 30, were relying on their unlimited text messaging plans to get them through their elaborate plans for breaking some sort of record, so Andes didn’t expect such a big bill.

Andes said that his bill came in a box that cost him an additional $27.55. Andes said he “panicked” and called T-Mobile, which told the Associated Press it had credited his account and was investigating the charges.

Before beginning their attempt at this thumb sore, Andes searched for the largest monthly text message total, and found that a man named Deepak Sharma in Indian had sent 182,000 in one month.

Andes and Klinger were able to set up their phones to send multiple messages. During a February test run they found they could send 6,000 or 7,000 messages on some days, prompting the March messaging marathon.

“Most were either short phrases or one word, ‘LOL’ or ‘Hello,’ things like that, with tons and tons of repeats,” Andes told the Associated Press.

Andes sent more than 140,000 messages, and Klinger sent more than 70,000 to end the month with just a totalof just over 217,000, he said.

Electronic Arts sent out brass knuckles to promote their newest video game: Godfather II.

Electronic Arts sent out brass knuckles to promote their newest video game: Godfather II.

To promote their new game, The Godfather II, Electronic Arts mailed a set of brass knuckles to video game journalists together with other goodies including a cigar, a silk handkerchief and a book of matches in attempt to complement the game’s mafiosi theme.

There is only one problem.

Possession of brass knuckles is illegal in many states and can carry hefty penalties which would make the recipients of the promotional tchotchkes common criminals.

According to a Yahoo games article, “the publisher began a flurry of hush-hush phone calls to arrange the return of the weapons. EA declined to comment beyond expressing a desire to assist journalists in proper disposal of the items.”

Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if the game didn’t suck so hard too. I rented it from Blockbuster from Friday and played for maybe a couple of hours before I gave it up. Their attempt at mixing strategy and action failed miserably and totally ruined the Godfather franchise in less than one day.
